Next has been named the top bricks and mortar retailer for customer service across social media, beating Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Ikea, (marketing magazine, 2013).

Figure 1 is a photo of the store entrance of NEXT in the White Rose shopping centre, Leeds. It is located at one of the ends of the shopping centre next to Sainsbury's and opposite River Island, Zara and Boots.
Figure 2
Figure 2 shows one of the window displays. This one has different mannequins both make and female and they are wearing the latest clothing products (at this point, it was the new Spring Collection). There are spotlights with a light blue and white background and framed photos of the beach, pal trees and other images portraying the Spring/Summer season.
As you enter NEXT, the shoes are on the left and the womenswear take up most of the ground floor. The kids clothing is on the far right of the store and menswear and home ware are upstairs. Womenswear is split up into different categories in terms of colour. For example blue, red and white clothes are displayed together, yellow clothes are displayed with a lighter blue and white and pinks are with darker purple colours. There is also a petite and denim section, and a rail of plain tops that are in different colours as shown in Figures 3-12.

In NEXT, there are spotlights and white walls throughout the store. Despite the amount if items displayed in the store, the white walls make the store look bigger as well as the use of cream/light grey tiled flooring. Music is played at an appropriate level and it is music suitable for the family.
